Continuity

measurement

Continuity means there is a complete, unbroken path for electric current to flow between two points. A continuity test uses a multimeter to check for very low resistance — if the path is complete, the meter beeps. This is commonly used to verify that wires are intact, fuses are good, and connections are solid. The circuit must be de-energized (powered off) before testing.
