Frequency

Frequency is the number of complete cycles an alternating current completes in one second. It is measured in hertz (Hz). In North America the power grid operates at 60 Hz, while most of the rest of the world uses 50 Hz. Frequency affects motor speed, clock accuracy, and overall grid stability.
