Ohm

An ohm (Ω) is the unit of electrical resistance — how much a material opposes the flow of electric current. Named after Georg Simon Ohm, who discovered the mathematical relationship between voltage, current, and resistance (Ohm’s Law: V = I × R). A short piece of copper wire might have a fraction of an ohm, while rubber insulation has millions of ohms.
