Ohm's Law

Ohm’s Law is the fundamental equation that describes the relationship between voltage, current, and resistance in an electrical circuit: V = I × R. Named after German physicist Georg Simon Ohm, it states that voltage equals current multiplied by resistance. This means that for a given resistance, increasing voltage increases current, and for a given voltage, increasing resistance decreases current. It is the most important equation in basic electrical theory.
