Reactance

Reactance is the opposition to current flow caused by capacitors and inductors in an AC circuit, measured in ohms (Ω). Unlike resistance, reactance does not dissipate energy but stores and releases it. Capacitive reactance decreases with frequency, while inductive reactance increases with frequency.
