Switch

components

A switch is a device that opens or closes an electrical circuit, controlling the flow of current. Mechanical switches are operated by hand (toggle, rocker, push-button), while electronic switches (transistors, relays) are operated by electrical signals. Switches can be normally open (off until pressed) or normally closed (on until pressed). They are one of the most basic and essential components in every electrical system.
