Transistor

components

A transistor is a semiconductor device with three terminals that uses a small electrical signal to control a larger current. It functions as an electronic switch or amplifier. The two main types are NPN and PNP. Transistors are the fundamental building blocks of all digital electronics — modern processors contain billions of them. They are used in amplifiers, switching circuits, logic gates, and voltage regulators.
